David H. Bell's career has spanned a wide range of projects as Director, Choreographer and Author over the last 25 years. As Artistic Director of the historic Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C., David inaugurated World Premiere musicals including Elmer Gantry, A Christmas Carol (adapter), and Hot Mikado. In New York City David has directed both on and off Broadway and internationally, including The Spirit of Atlanta in Barcelona for the 1992 Olympic closing ceremonies.

As Associate Director to Kenny Leon at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre, David directed over twenty productions including The Grapes Of Wrath, Chess, Blood Knot and The Boys From Syracuse. David is currently an Associate Professor in Music Theatre on the faculty of Northwestern University, and an associate artist with the American Music Theatre Project.
